Helpful facts you need to know:
The danger of cell phones is a heated debate today. While certain governments have maintained cell phone radiation is safe, reports from the World Health Organization and some independent scientists from around the world have indicated that cell phones and even Microwaves are not as safe as announced.
It is now possible to have the peace of mind in knowing you are doing everything you can to help reduce you and your family’s exposure to the cell phone radiation and cell phone EMFs (electromagnetic fields).
Children and young Adults face Higher Health Risk From Cell Phones
The potential harm from cell phone radiation and EMFs given off by wireless devices, particularly for children and unborn babies, is the highlight of a new review.
Although the data are conflicting, links between cell phones and Cancer have been observed.
Children face a higher health risk than adults. They looked at peer-reviewed cell phone exposure studies from 2009 to 2014, along with cell phone radiation data, government documents, manufacturers’ manuals, and similar publications.
Children and unborn babies do face a greater risk for bodily damage that results from radiation and also EMFs given off by wireless devices, according to Morgan and colleagues.
The rate of cell phone radiation absorption is higher in children than adults because their brain tissues are more absorbent, their skulls are thinner, and their relative size is smaller. Fetuses are particularly vulnerable, because cell phone radiation exposure can lead to degeneration of the protective sheath that surrounds brain neurons, they report.
Multiple studies have shown that children absorb more radiation and EMFs than adults. One found that that the brain tissue of children absorbed about two times more radiation than that of adults, and other studies have reported that the bone marrow of children absorbs 10 times more cell phone radiation than that of adults.
Germany, Belgium, France, India, and other technologically sophisticated governments are passing laws and/or issuing warnings about children’s use of wireless devices.
Cellphone radiation exposure limits have remained unchanged for 19 years. They also note that smartphone makers specify the minimum distance from the body that their products must be kept so that legal limits for exposure to radiation is not exceeded. For laptop computers and tablets, the minimum distance from the body is 20 cm (about 7.8 inches).
The authors explain that current exposure limits were set up based on the wrong assumption that tissue damage from overheating is the only potential danger of wireless devices.
But extensive scientific reports have detailed non-heat-related effects from long-term exposure. Although government warnings have been issued worldwide, most of the public is unaware of such warnings.
Take-Home Messages About Safe Use
Wireless devices are now part of everyday life, “but they can be used in a manner that is safe enough,” German Scientists say.
Here are some helpful recommendations.
The first is that “distance is your friend.” Germany says. Holding a cell phone 30 cm (about 12 inches) from your ear “provides a 10,000-fold reduction in risk.” Never mind what cell phone manufacturers are saying about SARs. SAR is a measure of the rate of RF (radiofrequency) energy absorption by the body from the source being measured – in this case, a cell phone. SAR provides a means for measuring the RF exposure characteristics of cell phones to ensure that they are within the safety guidelines set by the FCC. It is to a point USELESS though considering that you are not only confronted with RF’s while using a cell phone but also your biggest problem with a cell phone are Electromagnetic Fields (EMF). EMFs are as dangerous as the RF exposure when it comes to cell phones. It is just that not many people speak about the EMFs and cell phones.
Again……DISTANCE is your friend. Use your loudspeaker or use a headset. Avoid putting the cell phone directly on your head when you speak. That causes the most damage. When you buy headsets for your cell phone, the safest one is the one with a “Hallow Tube”, which absorbs EMF’s before it reaches your ears. Shop around.
Unless a cell phone is turned off, it is always radiating. When not in use, it should not be kept on the body. The best place for a cell phone is, somewhere like a purse, bag, or backpack. When you in your car put it away from you, like your passenger seat, or put it on your dashboard further away from you. Do not have it so often on your physical body. Whenever you have the opportunity, put it somehow away from your body.
Under no circumstances put a cell phone on a pregnant woman’s body. Devices should be kept away from a pregnant woman’s abdomen, and a mother should not use a cell phone while nursing, Germany says, that even baby monitors should not be placed too close to an infant’s crib. Keep it far away from the crib.
Children and teens need to know how to use these devices safely. Cell phones should not be allowed in a child’s bedroom at night. The Pew Research Center has reported that 75% of preteens and early teens sleep all night with their cell phone under their pillow. DEVASTATING!
German Scientists say that Boys should not keep a cell phone in their front pants pockets. There is a potential harm to sperm, although no studies of young boys have determined whether or not early exposure to MWR has any effect on sperm after puberty, but why risk it. Just teach your child to avoid that area.
And girls should not place their cell phone in their bras. Not even for fun. This recommendation was based on a case study of four young women with a history of putting cell phones in their bras, and who developed breast cancer — two of them as early as the age of 21.
Fact is that more radiation and EMFs is absorbed with more hours of use. Children should be taught to use their wireless phone as little as possible. There is nothing wrong with talking to your children how these devices are not too healthy and that they should not use them too often. Other than headsets, loudspeakers while using a cell phone, Landlines, Skype, and computer phone services (when connected to the Internet with a cable) don’t give off radiation and too many EMFs, and parents should encourage their kids to use those whenever they can. Children listen when you speak. Just talk to them about what you think about the devices they would like to use.
Finally, Wi-Fi routers in the home should be placed away from where people, particularly children, spend the most time.
In Germany some studies have shown an increased risk for brain cancer with cell phone use, although some of these data have been disputed. In recent years, glioblastoma (a type of brain tumor) rates have increased in Denmark and the United States, and brain cancer incidence has increased in Australia, according to data drawn from cancer registries. Countries known to have almost NO restrain or controlled hours when it comes to cell phone usage. The average time between exposure to a carcinogen and the diagnosis of a resulting solid tumor is 3 or more decades, so it will likely be several decades before tumors induced by childhood cell phone radiation exposure are diagnosed.
Take this seriously. Just because the Government Official Data is not available just yet, because our children ,who are in Cell-phone age, are not old enough yet to have been diagnosed with disease, does not mean it is not happening. Teach your children how to handle these devises and they will be as safe as they possible can be.
